Fredy Laverde
Architectural Project Manager
Fredy Laverde brings a global perspective to every home he designs. Originally from Venezuela, Fredy has lived in roughly five countries and several U.S. cities, an international journey that has shaped his ability to understand different cultures, adapt to new environments, and connect with people from all walks of life. Some of his Coastal Creek Design colleagues are former classmates from Venezuela, and their paths eventually converged in Charleston, where they’ve built their careers together.
Fredy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira (UNET) in Venezuela, where he also served as National Representative for Architecture Students. He brings deep expertise in 3D modeling and rendering, which sits at the center of how he approaches every project.
As Architectural Project Manager at Coastal Creek Design, Fredy oversees residential architecture projects from initial concept through completed construction documents, staying closely involved to address questions and changes as they come up. What sets his process apart is his whole home thinking from the start. Rather than designing a functional floor plan first and addressing the exterior later, Fredy considers the interior and exterior together, working toward a more cohesive result from day one. He makes extensive use of 3D modeling not just as a presentation tool, but as a problem solving one, creating models specifically to spot potential issues before construction begins.
Fredy has been with Coastal Creek Design for approximately three years, starting remotely before joining the Charleston office full time. He especially loves designing open spaces, oversized windows, covered porches, and pool areas that embrace the coastal lifestyle. He credits the firm’s tight collaboration between architects and engineers, often resolving design questions in seconds by simply turning to a colleague, as one of the things he values most about working there.
When he’s not designing homes, Fredy is most likely traveling or somewhere near the water.
