Karol earned her degree as a graphic designer assistant at Technological Training Center (CETEC) in Ecuador in 2015. She continued building her skills in 3D rendering and geographic information software as part of her personal development and later graduated from Universidad Central del Ecuador (UCE) in Quito, Ecuador with a degree in Architecture in 2020. Throughout her childhood and in her journey as a student, Karol also participated in a variety of community, academic and leadership projects in Ecuador, her home country.
As Karol grew in her professional career, learning English as a second language was an important goal. She studied English and graduated as an English Teaching Program Fulbright Scholar in 2020, and in the same year, she moved to the U.S. to embark on new opportunities in her professional journey.
She began working as an estimator/designer at Premier Building Construction, LLC, offering her first job opportunity to learn about the construction industry in the U.S. During this first experience, Karol worked on estimating and material takeoff for many commercial projects. She was also involved in the renovation of commercial buildings, contributing to planning and assisting with 3D models of interior and exterior views, and then began assisting with residential renovation projects.
Karol joined the Coastal Creek team in 2022 as an architectural designer. She is always eager to learn and master new skills. She finds architecture to be an amazing discipline and believes an architect has the magic to transform space and delight the customer, all while finding joy in the process.
