Bringing her civil engineering expertise from Venezuela to Charleston, Kimberly exemplifies professional determination and adaptability. After graduating in 2018 and working for the mayor of San Cristóbal, she moved to the United States in 2022 and joined Coastal Creek Design in 2023, eager to pursue her passion for structural engineering in a new country.

Starting with as-built documentation, Kimberly quickly advanced to the engineering department, where she tackles structural engineering projects in Charleston. Her work on the Marshall Boulevard project, including the challenging circular Quad-Deck system, highlights her ability to learn and grow through technical challenges. Kimberly approaches each project methodically, dedicating time to study every aspect before proposing solutions.

“Take on new opportunities and learn new skills” is more than Kimberly’s work philosophy – it’s how she approaches life. She stays current with industry innovations through conferences, technical journals, and professional forums, always seeking to expand her knowledge. This dedication allows her to deliver innovative solutions for complex structural challenges.

What Kimberly values most about Coastal Creek Design is the collaborative environment, where the team actively listens and works together to achieve the best results. She combines careful listening with technical expertise to guide clients toward solutions that match their vision.

Originally from Venezuela, Kimberly chose Charleston for its beauty and professional opportunities. When she’s not working on engineering projects, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring new places on road trips.
