Kimberly Vargas

Bringing her civil engineering expertise from Venezuela to Charleston, Kimberly exemplifies professional determination and adaptability. After graduating in 2018 and working for the mayor of San Cristóbal, she made the bold move to the United States in 2022, joining Coastal Creek Design in 2023 to pursue her engineering passion in a new country.

 

Starting with as-built documentation, Kimberly quickly advanced to the engineering department, where she tackles complex structural challenges. Her work on the Marshall Boulevard project, which included designing a challenging circular Quad-Deck system, demonstrates her ability to learn and grow through technical challenges. She approaches each project methodically, dedicating time to study every aspect before proposing solutions.

Originally from Venezuela, Kimberly chose Charleston for its beauty and professional opportunities. When she’s not working on structural engineering projects, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring new places through road trips.
